Craig Fortunato

Craig was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales in 2001 and shortly afterwards was admitted to the Supreme Court of Gibraltar. Craig specialises in telecommunications, asset protection and restructuring for HNWI's, insurance and conveyancing matters.

Craig joined Verralls in June 2003 as an associate, after having spent a number of years working as an associate in Gibraltar's largest law firm. During this time he gained invaluable experience in telecommunications and financial services, mainly providing advice to the incumbent telecommunications operator in Gibraltar on a wide range of telecommunication and commercials issues. His work in this area included the drafting of interconnection agreements, trading platforms and Codes of Practice.

In January 2006 Craig became a partner of Verralls. Craig's main area of practice consists in advising wealthy individuals who are considering relocating to Gibraltar and in preparing all relevant documentation in this respect. Craig advises Category 2 individuals in connection with their own personal wealth and tax matters, and effective tax structures.

Craig is also a non-executive director on the board of two large insurance providers, which are controlled and managed from Gibraltar. Very much known as a hands on problem solver and mediator. Craig always displays an astute commercial mind, with his clients regularly asking him to help develop their business plans. To this end, Craig is thoroughly familiar with all the different requirements under Gibraltar law in setting up businesses.
