Jonathan obtained his Honours Degree in Law with Spanish Law from the University of Kent in July 2013. He joined Verralls in August 2014 after having completed his Bar Professional Training Course in the University of Law in London. As a member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple, he was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales on the 9 October 2014. On the 19 January 2015 he was admitted to the Supreme Court of Gibraltar as a Barrister.
Studying Spanish law for a year in Toledo’s prestigious Universidad Castilla la Mancha served to sharpen Jonathan’s skills in the language and allowed him to familiarise himself with the inner workings of the Spanish legal system. Jonathan is a very competent practitioner who cares first and foremost about his clients. His hard working nature has him constantly striving to achieve the best possible result for each of his clients. His dedication to the profession is reflected in the meticulous work he produces for all matters both litigious and non-litigious. His open, frank and friendly nature combined with his confidence and efficiency make him an effective practitioner.
Jonathan is an accredited mediator and is able to mediate all kinds of disputes including any employment issues as well as inter family disputes.
His interests in law include but are not limited to civil litigation, employment and conveyancing. Other common areas of practice include civil registration, commercial matters and clinical issues including issues concerning mental health.
